What a bump does
Bumping moves your listing back to the top of its category. It does not add votes and it does not change your score. It resets your position in the recency ordering, which is a separate input from votes.
The cooldown
Two hours, the same for everyone. There is no shorter cooldown to buy, no subscription that halves it, and no advantage to bumping the instant it expires rather than twice a day. The timer belongs on the server, so clearing your browser or opening another tab will not reset it.
What ranking actually uses
- Votes — the largest single input, and the slowest to move.
- Recency of the last bump — a decaying boost, never a permanent one.
- Activity signals — whether the people who click through actually stay.
A listing that gets bumped religiously but that nobody joins will fall behind one bumped twice a week that keeps its arrivals. That is deliberate.
Votes
One vote per person per listing, every twelve hours. Voting needs a Discord account, so the same person cannot vote from six of them.
Vote-for-vote arrangements, alt farms and paid votes are the one thing that removes a listing without the usual warning. They are also the easiest manipulation to spot, because they produce a shape no real community produces.
What is not for sale
Placement. There is no promoted slot at the top of a category, no way to buy past a server with more votes, and no paid verification. If that ever changes, anything paid will be labelled as paid, in the listing, where you can see it.
